Speech & Language Therapy for Children
Language-for-Life is a private Speech and Language Therapy practice for preschool and school-aged children aged from 2 to 16 with speech and language delay or difficulties in the South London area. Read more about the type of children Language-for-Life works with here.
The practice is run by myself, Lesley Reed, a registered Speech and Language Therapist. I am a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP). Speech and Language Therapists are Allied Health Professionals who specialise in working with adults and children who have difficulties with communication, eating and drinking. Speech and language difficulties
If your child has speech and language difficulties, you are definitely not alone. Speech and language difficulties are more common than people might think. I CAN (charity for children with speech and language difficulties) states that up to 1 million children in the UK currently have difficulty understanding or communicating. That is almost 1 in 10 children.
It can be difficult to know whether or not your child has speech and language delay or difficulties; whether your child will ‘grow out’ of his/her difficulties or if your child would benefit from speech and language therapy.
